Man, my mind…
When you're telling everyone you're fine, and you're not.
Man my mind.
Take charge of it. One step at a time.
"I'm fine."
I've said it thousands of times. Most of the time I even looked it. But since I was ten I'd been trying to keep everything under control, and when life threw things at me I couldn't control, I kept it all inside.
I'm 49. My mates have moved away or they're busy with their own families. And you can have a family around you and still find it really hard to talk to them. You don't want to worry them, and you're meant to be the one holding it all together.
If that sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

Honest stories
What it's really like when your mind won't give you a break, and what got me through.
Bad day toolkit
Simple things that help when everything feels heavy. Walking, routine, and catching the catastrophising before it runs away with you.
Walk & talk
A monthly walk on the Clent Hills, then a coffee and a bacon roll. Talk if you want to. Don't if you don't. Just turn up.
At work, he's fine.
Until he isn't.
Too many men keep it hidden at work: the deadlines, the money worries, the 3am spirals. It all builds up until it comes out at once.
I've run businesses and felt that pressure myself. Talks and sessions for employers who want to change it are coming soon.
